The nature of Art News has been described by philosopher Richard Wollheim as “one of the most elusive of the traditional problems of human culture”. Art has been defined as a vehicle for the expression or communication of emotions and ideas, a means for exploring and appreciating formal elements for their own sake, and as mimesis or representation. This can’t miss event is the first opportunity to acquire the finest works from the emerging, cutting-edge, contemporary and modern art movements prior to the fairs’ opening to the public the following day. Internationally renowned contemporary Mexican artist Sergio Hernández brings his works of art to the US for his first solo museum exhibition in the country. A recently completed series of five mixed-media paintings on gold leaf debuts to the public for the first time as part of this exhibition.
